Thanatos God of Death
Thanatos was the daemon personification of death in ancient Greek.He was the son of Nyx and Erebus.Thanatos hated and was hated by mortals and deathless gods.Thanatos could only be beaten at times.He was defeated by King Sisyphus.Zeus ordered Thanatos to kill Sisyphus and to chain him up in Tartarus. Sisyphus cheated death by tricking Thanatos into his own shackles, thereby prohibiting the demise of any mortal while Thanatos was so enchained.
